Creative direction is the layer between strategy and execution. It is the set of decisions that determine how the brand will look and feel across a campaign or a launch, before any designer starts producing files. When done well, it means everyone working on execution is aligned. When it is skipped, you get a collection of assets that are technically competent but visually incoherent.
We offer creative direction as standalone sessions for clients who have their own design teams or freelancers but need an experienced senior perspective on the visual decisions being made. Common uses: pre-launch creative review, brand audit, campaign visual direction, or design system architecture advice.
Sessions are 60 or 90 minutes. Before each session, we ask you to share materials in advance so we can prepare specific feedback rather than general observations. After each session, we send a written summary with clear recommendations and reasoning. You should be able to share this document with your team and start acting on it the same day.
Creative Direction sessions are scheduled within 3 to 5 business days of payment. The written summary is delivered within 24 hours of the session.
Creative direction sessions work best when there is something concrete to review or a specific decision to make. If your question is broad and exploratory, a one-hour session is unlikely to produce useful output. For very early stage thinking, consider a Design Consultation session through a retainer arrangement instead.
