Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website thedesigndexter.com (the “Website”) and the purchase of design services from The Design Dexter (“we”, “us”, “our”, or “the Studio”), a sole-trader design studio registered in Italy with VAT number IT07234810713 and address at Via Achille Grandi, 8, 71122 Foggia (FG), Italy.
By using the Website or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website or purchase our services. These Terms are governed by Italian law and, where applicable, European Union consumer protection legislation.
1. Services Offered
The Design Dexter provides professional digital design services delivered electronically. Our current service offerings include:
- Visual Identity Design – Logo design, brand mark, colour palette, typography system, and usage guidelines delivered as digital files.
- Website Design – Full website design in Figma including desktop and mobile layouts, interactive prototypes, and developer specifications.
- Interface & UI Design – User interface design, design systems, and component libraries for web applications and products.
- Digital Illustration – Custom illustrations created digitally for use in websites, marketing materials, apps, or publications.
- Social Media Visual Design – Branded social media templates, post designs, and story formats.
- Creative Direction – Consultancy sessions, creative strategy, and design direction delivered via video call and written report.
All services are delivered digitally. No physical goods are shipped. Deliverables are provided via secure file transfer, cloud storage link, or email attachment, as agreed at the project outset.
2. Ordering and Contract Formation
A binding contract between you and The Design Dexter is formed when:
- You select a service or package on our Website;
- You complete the checkout form with your personal details and confirm your order;
- Payment is successfully processed via Stripe; and
- We send a written confirmation email to the address you provided.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order at our discretion before a confirmation email is sent, for example if we believe the project is outside our expertise, if payment cannot be verified, or if the order contains inaccurate information. In such cases, any payment taken will be refunded in full.
3. Pricing and Payment
All prices are displayed in Euros (EUR) and include Italian VAT (IVA) where applicable. Prices are clearly shown during the ordering process. We reserve the right to change prices at any time, but changes will not affect orders already confirmed by email.
Payment is processed securely through Stripe, Inc. We accept all major credit and debit cards. Payment is due in full at the time of ordering unless a different arrangement has been agreed in writing.
For custom packages, hourly support blocks, or add-ons purchased through our Package Builder, the total price displayed at checkout reflects all selected items. The studio reserves the right to verify pricing server-side before issuing a confirmation.
4. Delivery of Services
We aim to begin work within 2-3 business days of receiving your confirmed order and payment. Estimated delivery timelines for each service are provided on the respective service pages and confirmed in your order confirmation email. These timelines are estimates in good faith and may vary based on project scope, your responsiveness during the review process, and studio workload at the time.
Delivery timelines are calculated from the date we receive all necessary briefs, reference materials, and content from you. Delays in providing required materials may extend the delivery date.
All deliverables are sent to the email address you provided at checkout, or via a shared cloud link. It is your responsibility to ensure your email address is accurate and your inbox can receive files of the expected size.

5. Revisions and Feedback
Each service package includes a specified number of revision rounds. A revision round is defined as a single consolidated set of feedback submitted within 7 calendar days of receiving the deliverable. Requests submitted after this period may be treated as a new project or incur an additional fee.
Revision rounds do not include changes to the fundamental project scope, direction, or brief. Requests outside the original scope will be quoted separately and may require a supplementary order.
Additional revisions beyond the included rounds are available at our standard hourly rate of €29.80 per hour.
6. Intellectual Property and Ownership
Upon receipt of full payment and delivery of final files, the intellectual property rights in the final approved design deliverables transfer to you. You are free to use the delivered designs for the purposes described in the project brief.
Prior to full payment, all work-in-progress files and concepts remain the property of The Design Dexter.
We retain the right to display the completed project in our portfolio, case studies, and promotional materials unless you have requested otherwise in writing prior to project completion. We will not disclose any confidential information provided by you during the project.
Preliminary concepts, rejected design options, source file layers not included in the agreed deliverables, and working files remain the property of The Design Dexter unless otherwise agreed in writing.
7. Client Responsibilities
To enable us to deliver your project on time and to a high standard, you agree to:
- Provide an accurate and reasonably detailed project brief at the start of the project;
- Supply any content, copy, images, or reference materials we request within 5 business days;
- Provide consolidated, clear feedback within the timeframes described in these Terms;
- Ensure that any content you supply does not infringe third-party intellectual property rights, is not defamatory or illegal, and complies with applicable laws;
- Maintain one designated contact person for the project to avoid conflicting instructions.
8. Refunds and Cancellations
Please read our Refund Policy for full details. In summary:
- If you cancel within 48 hours of placing your order and before work has commenced, you are entitled to a full refund.
- If work has already commenced, a partial refund may be available for the uncompleted portion of the project.
- Once final deliverables have been sent and approved, no refunds are issued.
- Digital downloads and files already delivered are non-refundable once accessed.
9. Warranties and Limitation of Liability
We warrant that:
- Our services will be performed with reasonable skill and care;
- The deliverables we create will, to the best of our knowledge, not knowingly infringe third-party intellectual property rights.
We are not liable for:
- Any business losses, loss of profit, loss of revenue, or indirect or consequential damages arising from use of our deliverables;
- Any errors or omissions in content supplied to us by you;
- Delays caused by your failure to supply required materials or feedback on time;
- Results of design work once it is modified or used outside the scope agreed.
Our total liability to you under or in connection with any order shall not exceed the total price paid by you for that order.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
10. Confidentiality
Both parties agree to keep confidential any information disclosed during the course of the project that is identified as confidential or that would reasonably be understood to be confidential. This obligation continues for 2 years after project completion.
11. Use of the Website
You agree not to use the Website for any unlawful purpose, to interfere with the Website’s operation, to attempt unauthorised access to any part of the site, or to transmit any malicious code or data. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Website at any time.
12. Third-Party Links
The Website may contain links to third-party websites. These links are provided for your convenience. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or reliability of any linked third-party sites.
13. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Italy. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall first be subject to good-faith negotiation. If not resolved within 30 days, the dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Foggia, Italy, except where mandatory consumer protection law provides otherwise.

14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting an updated version on this page with a new effective date. Your continued use of the Website or purchase of services after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
